Starved for a title and still trying to clear their franchise’s name from October disgrace, the 1959 Chicago White Sox took a definitive step toward their goals as late-season acquisition and Argo High School product Ted Kluszewski launched a pair of home runs to pace the ChiSox to an 11-0 rout in Game 1 of the World Series. Encapsulated and Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA, this full ticket was issued on Chicago’s South Side for that one-sided ’59 Fall Classic opener. The contest also marked the first-ever World Series appearance by Hall of Fame southpaw Sandy Koufax, who was summoned in the 5th inning of a game in which the Dodgers already trailed, 11-0. The “Standing Room” voucher features “winged sock” logos and printed seating and event legends. Sharp edges, rounded corners and sturdy perforations are consistent with the technical grade.
