1.) 1944 Esquire’s All American Boy’s Baseball Game official program featuring two future MLB greats at the tender age of 17 – Richie Ashburn (photo mislabeled) and Billy Pierce. The scorecard has image of Connie Mack and Mel Ott (the respective managers). This item in in NM condition;
2.) 1945 Norfolk Junior College Blackhawks yearbook with Ashburn on several pages, condition (NM);
3.) 1946 Utica Blue Sox scorecard (Ashburn not of the team because he was drafted in late 1945), condition VG-EX;
4.) (2) 1947 Utica Blue Sox scorecards (unmarked) with Ashburn in the lineup, condition (EX, GD);
5.) 1948 Norfolk Junior College Blackhawks yearbook with Ashburn on several pages, condition (NM);
6.) 1948 Sunday World Herald with Ashburn on the cover, condition EX-MT;
7.) March 19, 1927 newspaper – The World out of New York City. This is an actual newspaper from the day Richie Ashburn was born and it comes in a padded 21x14” holder with Ashburn’s name engraved on the lower right corner. Condition of the newspaper VG (brittle) and the holder is NM.
8.) World War II Servicemen record for those who served from Tilden Nebraska and the community. The book is not dated but it is from the 1940s.
